It is car. Awful CVT is awful. It has carplay and lots of nannies. Seats are comfy enough. It was between this and a Camry and since we had 3 full-sized people with luggage , I ch ose this for the good of the group. If you have the choice, choose Camry.

Only one non-pickup sold more than the Rouge in the US last year...

You seen how cheap brand new Nissans are? They’re shit, but they’re cheap pieces of shit.

That doesn’t stop you from going rouge and getting something that’s not mainstream.

IMHO a camry is still a better people hauler than a Rogue. The trunk is nearly the same size and the camry has a bigly back seat.

Nissan SUVs, and their CVTs in general, are the worst. I am actually thankful that we had one as a rental car last year though because my wife went from half wanting one when we had kids to being solidly in the “NOPE” zone after that. Weirdly notchy and darty steering, terrible road feel, terrible visibility, and sounds like snowmobile in powder. I’m sure t he only reason these sell so well is the price and the fact that people don’t know better or care.

But what about once a year when you need to bring home a tall plant?

I once got a christmas tree with my sister in her ‘96 Civic. It stuck out both back windows.

I had a Rogue rental earlier this year. I found it to be a great rental car, but a total piece of crap. It had a nice feature set for a rental, but it was loud, slow, cheap feeling, and slow. It really struggled to maintain 80 mph (in an 80mph speed limit). Would take it over the elantra rental car I was expecting any day though!

I got bored and forgot what I was doing in a 0-60 pull. I came back the next day and finished it when I remembered.
At least the ride quality was really harsh.

I rode in a Rogue rental earlier this year. The rear-seat grab handles are perfectly positioned to hit the side of my head on bumpy roads, and the ride is bouncy and uncomposed, as in so many compact crossover SUVs these days.

I’d rather have the Elantra!
